FuelFinder

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 26 October 2026Read with Terms and Conditions, clauses 28 and 29

This is one of the Marketplace Policies named in FuelFinder's Terms and Conditions. It explains, in plain language, how part of the Terms works in practice. Read the two together; if anything here differs from the Terms, the Terms apply.

01

Using FuelFinder lawfully

Use FuelFinder only for lawful and legitimate purposes: buying fuel, supplying it, delivering it, or referring people to the platform. FuelFinder is a marketplace for energy products, so the rules below protect the people on it and the people around the fuel.

02

What you must not do

You must not:

  • commit fraud, including paying with a card or bank account you are not entitled to use;
  • give false or misleading information, including on a verification form, a listing or an order;
  • manipulate prices or orders, for example by placing offers you do not intend to honour or by arranging with others to distort a price;
  • impersonate another person or business;
  • interfere with the platform's security, or get into systems or accounts that are not yours;
  • spread malware or harmful code;
  • use the platform to help anyone break the law;
  • harass or threaten another user;
  • misuse personal information you receive through the platform, such as a delivery address or phone number, for anything other than completing the order;
  • scrape or harvest data from the platform without our permission;
  • copy or reverse-engineer the platform, except where the law allows it, or use platform data to build a competing service; or
  • otherwise use the platform in breach of Nigerian law.
03

Fuel suppliers and delivery partners

Suppliers and delivery partners must also:

  • supply only genuine, lawfully obtained products that meet Nigerian quality and safety requirements, and describe them accurately;
  • hold, keep valid and tell us promptly about any change to the licences, permits and approvals their work needs;
  • use lawful, appropriate measuring and dispensing equipment, and never misstate the quantity supplied or delivered;
  • keep their listings, prices and stock accurate and up to date; and
  • handle, store and transport fuel lawfully and safely, and never take part in activity that puts people, property or the environment at unreasonable risk.
04

Affiliates

Affiliates must not:

  • make false, misleading or unauthorised claims about FuelFinder, or say they work for it when they do not;
  • send spam or unlawful marketing;
  • create fake or artificial referrals, or refer accounts they control just to earn commission;
  • exploit or interfere with the referral and commission system; or
  • use FuelFinder's name, logo or materials without permission.
05

What happens if the rules are broken

We may investigate suspected misuse. If we reasonably believe a user has broken the Terms or a Marketplace Policy, has given false information, has failed a verification check, has committed fraud or acted unlawfully, or has created a material safety or regulatory risk, we may suspend, restrict or end their access.

Where we reasonably can, we tell the person and give them a chance to respond. Where there is an urgent safety, fraud, security or legal concern, we may act first. We may report suspected unlawful conduct to the proper authorities. Closing an account does not cancel anything owed before it was closed.

06

Reporting a problem

If you see something on FuelFinder that breaks this policy, or you think your account has been misused, tell us at support@fuelfinder.energy. For a problem with a specific order, raise a dispute from the order page (see our Returns, Cancellations and Refunds Policy).
