Delivery and Fulfilment Policy

Last updated 26 October 2026Read with Terms and Conditions, clauses 12, 13, 18 to 20 and 26

This is one of the Marketplace Policies named in FuelFinder's Terms and Conditions. It explains, in plain language, how part of the Terms works in practice. Read the two together; if anything here differs from the Terms, the Terms apply.

01

Who delivers your fuel

FuelFinder is a marketplace. We do not own, buy, store or carry the fuel. The supplier you buy from is responsible for fulfilling your order, and they deliver it either themselves or through a delivery partner. The supplier stays responsible for the delivery being lawful, safe and appropriate even when someone else drives it.

Suppliers deliver within the area they have told us they serve, so which suppliers can take your order depends on where you want it delivered.

02

From order to delivery

  • You order. You say what you need, how much, where, and (for a named-price order) at what price.
  • A supplier agrees. Nothing is charged until a supplier has agreed your order. If you are paying by bank transfer, you then have 30 minutes to pay the agreed amount.
  • You pay. Your payment is not released to the supplier until the delivery is done.
  • The fuel is dispatched. The supplier or their delivery partner loads and drives it to you. You can follow the delivery on the order page.
  • You receive it. See section 4.
  • The supplier is paid. After the supplier confirms the delivery and a short hold has passed, with no dispute open.
03

Delivery times and what we need from you

Delivery times shown are estimates unless the supplier has agreed a time with you. Please give us a correct address, a phone number we can reach on the day, safe and lawful access to the place of delivery, and any site or safety information the driver needs. Do not ask for a delivery method that is unsafe or unlawful.

If a delivery cannot be completed, for example because nobody can be reached or the site cannot be entered, raise it from the order page or contact support. We will help the supplier and you agree what happens next.

04

When the fuel arrives

  • Give the driver your handover code. When the driver sets off, we send you a code (on the order page and by email). Give it to the driver at the delivery. It confirms the right person is receiving it. If you cannot give it, our operations team can decide whether the driver may close the delivery, and they record why.
  • Check the quantity. Where you reasonably can, check what has been delivered while the driver is there. A material shortfall can be corrected, partly refunded or otherwise put right.
  • The driver records the delivery. They photograph the delivery and record its location and the quantity delivered.
  • Risk passes to you once the fuel has lawfully been delivered into your tank, container or receiving point. Title passes as set out in your order and the Terms.
05

Quality and quantity

Suppliers must supply genuine fuel that meets Nigerian quality, safety and regulatory requirements and any specification you asked for, such as density. Quantities are stated in the unit shown on the platform. Suppliers and drivers must use lawful, appropriate measuring and dispensing equipment and must not misstate quantity. If what arrives does not match your order, raise a dispute, and see our Returns, Cancellations and Refunds Policy.

06

Delivery partners

Delivery partners are independent contractors, not FuelFinder employees. Before one can accept deliveries, we ask for identification and a driver's licence, details of the vehicle and its registration, and any permits and insurance, and our team approves them. They must keep their licences valid, keep their vehicles suitable and safe, and follow the law and safety and environmental rules for carrying fuel. We may suspend one where there is a concern about safety, compliance, verification, fraud or unlawful conduct.

07

Depots and loading bookings

Where you book loading or collection at a depot, the depot's own safety and operating rules apply and you must follow them. We cannot guarantee access to a depot unless the booking confirms it.

08

Safety

Suppliers and delivery partners must follow Nigerian law on handling, transport, storage, the environment, road safety and health and safety. We may suspend a user or an order where we reasonably think there is a safety or regulatory risk.
